122cm Archery Target Faces

Most archery targets are set up so the center (gold) of the target face is positioned approximately 130cm (about 51 inches) from the ground, matching the average shooter's eye and shoulder line. This height aligns with World Archery standards and ensures consistent, comfortable shooting for most adult archers.

Archery target faces are commonly manufactured in 40cm, 60cm, 80cm, and 122cm sizes. The 122cm target face is the largest standard size, used primarily for outdoor competition distances of 50m, 70m, and 90m, as well as commercial range setups requiring a larger aiming surface.

For the 70m distance used in Olympic recurve competition, archers shoot at a 122cm target face. This larger target size compensates for the extended distance, ensuring the full 10-ring scoring area remains visible and shootable at 70 meters.
